Gran Turismo - The Real Driving Simulator, like all things, started off small. First released in 1997 by the well known Polyphony Digital. Gran Turismo 1 quickly became a huge hit with 178 cars and outstanding gameplay. Since the release of GT1, the series has sold over 50 million games to the Playstation 1, Playstation 2 and Playstation 3. The near future sees the release of the very highly anticipated - Gran Turismo 5.
Gran Turismo History -- Games List (Main Releases)

The Present Condition of Gran Turismo
The present condition of Gran Turismo is looking very good, as said above, the anticipation for the upcoming GT games - GT5 and Gran Turismo PSP is very high. Gran Turismo 5 looks very promising with outstanding graphics, gameplay and 1000+ cars with 80+ tracks. We expect this to be an absolute top seller with all Playsation 3 owners. The series is doing exceptionally well, becoming the best PS3 racing game of all time and possibly the best racing game of all consoles.
The Future of Gran Turismo
We don't see any reason for Polyphony Digital to stop producing Gran Turismo games. They are huge hits and sell fast, because of this, Gran Turismo 6 is very likely to be produced within the next few years and possibly be ready for the Playsation 4? Whatever happens, Gran Turismo will remain a top class game and continue to grab the attention of all car lovers.

my favourite is gran turismo 2, I had alot of fun with that game. Gran turismo 4 was pretty awesome, Gran turismo 5 looks epic, Having no career in GT mobile is stupid so I'm uninterested in that. They should of just done a gran turismo 2 port
